Reviving Tokhang is Reviving Evil

Drug killings

A cosmetic surgery to beautify a beastly past is yet to be invented. Happy New Year!

It’s in the news again. The idea of reviving Oplan Tokhang as broached by a senator means reviving the Duterte administration’s abominated, bloody anti-drug program that is more evil than the evils it aims to crush.

Some immediate past officials have been busy peddling the said idea like they have achieved something good to end the drug menace in the country, when, as a matter fact, they have only achieved ending the lives of countless thousands of small time drug pushers and drug users, including children/minors and innocent people as collateral damage, notwithstanding denials of accusations of extrajudicial killings and “nanlaban” tales from authorities.

The drug problem has never been gone, but what “return” of the problem are they talking about? Drug remains rampant, blatant and malignant to this day. Tokhang was a total failure as it had evolved to become a menace itself – new, sanctioned, diabolic and deadlier than drug.

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11

Beware of “friendly” advice more than criticisms.
