RHIAN Ramos doesn’t mind being the third wheel in the romance of real life sweethearts Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado in the story, “Truly. Madly. Deadly”, which is featured this week in GMA Telebabad’s hit primetime drama anthology, “I Can See You”.

“Maganda naman ang role ko bilang Abby, dating best friend ni Jennylyn as Coleen na naging mortal enemy niya dahil may gusto pala ako sa kanya,” she says. “We shot on a lock in location for several days, kaya nagkasama rin kami nang matagal at doon ko nakita kung gaano sila ka-sweet talaga sa isa’t isa.”

And, of course, she can’t help it if she would feel some heartache because she herself has just broken up with her Israeli boyfriend. So how is she now, still nursing a broken heart?

“I feel much better na,” she says. “I’m doing well now kasi it helps to be able to get back to work and to your usual routine para malimutan mo whatever pain you are feeling. Working again is really the best way to move on and I’m glad kasi balik taping na rin kami ng primetime drama namin ni Carla Abellana na ‘Love of My Life’.”

So is she now used to taping in the new normal lock in set up? “Yes, we all have to learn how to adjust, kasi wala namang choice. We all have to undergo the usual safety protocols for our own safety. You can trust naman GMA management pagdating sa ganyan kasi they really know how to protect their stars and crew on the set.”

“Truly. Madly. Deadly” will start airing tonight after “Encantadia” on the Kapuso channel. Rhian guarantees viewers will be thrilled and entertained by this special weeklong episode that combines mystery and romance.

“Sure akong kikiligin kayo sa reel and real love affair nina Jen and Dennis dito,” she adds. “Ang sweet talaga nilang tingnan. Naiinggit nga ako, e. Hahahaha!”

BILLY Crawford wants to emphasize at the mediacon of TV5 for their new shows that his new lunchtime show on TV5, “Lunch Out Loud”, which starts airing today, is not engaged in a contest with his former show, “It’s Showtime”, or “Eat Bulaga”.

“Ayoko nung sinasabing kinakalaban namin sila,” he says. “We’re not trying to compete with them kasi sobrang nauna na sila sa amin, lalo na ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ na longest running noontime show. We just want to offer the viewer more choices for alternative viewing. We just want to add more fun and to send more love out there and, hopefully, also inspire people, lahat ng nanonood po, na makatulong po tayo kasi I think we’ll be giving the biggest prizes. Magsama-sama at magkaisa po tayo. ‘Yan po ang gusto naming paratingin sa buong mundo na unity is more important, and also humility.”

Now that he’s married and a new dad to baby boy Amari, he aims to work harder than ever. “Iba kasi pag may anak ka na. Yung kahit nasa trabaho ka, naiisip mo siya at uwing-uwi ka na dahil gusto mo na siyang makarga uli o mapa-burp after his feeding.”

Would his wife Coleen Garcia also follow him to TV5? “As of now, she’s so focused on our baby kasi she’s breastfeeding him. Maya’t maya ang feeding at saludo ako sa kanya sa dedication niya. Eventually, siguro, she’ll return to work. I just don’t know kung sa TV5 din. It’ll be her decision kasi when it comes to our careers, hindi kami nagpapakialamanan, e.

Billy’s co-hosts are all optimistic that “Lunch Out Loud” will please noontime viewers. KC Montero feels blessed to be part of TV5’s new musical variety show. “I’m so happy to be working with all my talented co-hosts who welcomed me warmly, sina Billy Crawford, Alex Gonzaga, Bayani Agbayani and K Brosas.”

K Brosas is a judge in “Showtime” and she denies ABS-CBN tried to stop her from moving to TV5. “Nagpaalam ako nang maayos through Cornerstone at okay naman sa kanila kasi siyempre, daily show ito unlike sa ‘It’s Showtime’ na hindi ako regular at hindi rin naman ako exclusive sa ABS-CBN,” she says. “Ako naman, galing na rin ako sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ where I really started and now, parang nagbalik lang ako sa TV5 kasi naging part din ako noon ng ‘Talentadong Pinoy’, e.”

For Bayani Agbayani, working with his co-hosts in “Lunch Out Loud” is something really special. “Kumbaga, dream team ito, e. Masayang kasama silang lahat. The show is very spontaneous kasi hindi scripted. Tawanan nga kaming lahat nang tawanan while working. Umuuwi kaming masaya. We also offer the biggest prizes at pinakamarami ang premyo namin. Lahat kami nagtutulungan para matiyak na magiging maganda ang show namin at magustuhan ng lahat. Garantisado po, mas sasarap ang pananghalian nyo sa ‘Lunch Out Loud’.”
