A 32-year-old rider was injured during a four-vehicle smashup that occurred over the weekend at the southbound lane of the Mabini Bridge near the corner of Guazon Avenue in Pandacan, Manila.
The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit – Vehicle Traffic Investigation Section (MDTEU-VTIS) identified the rider as Ritchie Pineda, driver of a Motorcycle Honda Click (plate number 872 XBB) and resident of San Rafael in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Investigation showed that the accident took place at 4:40 p.m.
Raymond Ruiz, 38, a driver of oil tanker Izuzu Lorry, was reportedly driving his vehicle when, upon reaching the said area, he hit the motorcycle being driven by Pineda and which in turn, hit the SUV Toyota Veloz being driven by Michael Oso, 44. Also hit by Ruiz was the rear portion of the Toyota Fortuner being driven by Marylaine Padlan,31, of Filinvest 2, Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
A case of reckless imprudence resulting in damage of property and physical injury was filed against Ruiz at the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
