Roque to give livelihood assistance to small entrepreneurs

Harry Roque - Presidential Spokesperson

UniTeam senatorial candidate Harry Roque would push for livelihood assistance for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to recover losses and cope with the pandemic.

Roque said that providing capital for MSMEs could be the solution to poverty.

“Microfinance, cooperatives, kapital para sa mga small and medium industry ‘yan po ang aking kasagutan dito kung paano makakabangon sa kahirapan,” the former presidential spokesperson told MSMEs owners during the BBM-Sara virtual caravan on Friday.

Since the COVID19 outbreak in early 2020, community lockdowns have had lingering effects on businesses and jobs as governments worldwide strive to contain the spread of the virus.

Roque said he wanted to focus more on job generation during and after the pandemic if elected.

Roque said Filipinos should rise and recover after a disaster.
