RUFFA Gutierrez, Aiko Melendez and Carmina Villarroel are known as contemporaries in showbiz since Regal gave them a break simultaneously. First on TV in “13, 14, 15” and on the big screen in “Underage Too”. We all saw them growing up before our eyes.
Recently, they had a reunion online and, from their banter, it’s obvious that they have remained good friends through the years. All of them hit it big as solo stars and now they all have kids of their own. In their conversation, they had flashbacks about their past as teenagers as Regal babies. They even recalled that Carmina’s husband now and father of her two kids, Zoren Legaspi, was once the boyfriend of Ruffa.
They made it clear “na hindi naman kami pinagsabay ni Zoren” because Zoren wooed Carmina long after he and Ruffa have broken up. They say they’re all happy that they’re all still busy up to now with their own shows. Ruffa is in “Love thy Woman”, Aiko in “Prima Donnas”, Carmina in “Sarap, Di Ba?”
Even their children are good friends with each other. And when it comes to their love life, all of them have similarly experienced failure in their past relationships. Ruffa is separated from Turkish husband Yilmaz Bektas, Aiko from Jomari Yllana and Carmina also separated from Rustom Padilla who’s now BB Gandanghari.
Ruffa has found new love in her French boyfriend, Jourdan Mouyal, while Aiko is now on with Zambales vice governor Jay Khongun. So, life, love, family and career go on well for all of them.
