S. Korean wanted by Interpol held in Ecija

PANTABANGAN, Nueva Ecija — A South Korean national allegedly wanted by the Interpol (International Police) was nabbed by joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Bureau of Immigration and local police on Tuesday night here.

Police provincial head Col. Jaime O. Santos identified the arrested foreigner as Jung Myunghun, whose arrest was carried out at 8:30 p.m.

Santos said the suspect was tagged as a wanted person by virtue of an Interpol red notice requested by his country for acts of aggravated punishment of special economic crimes, Article 3(1)-2 and Criminal Act 347-1.

The arrested South Korean is now under the custody of the CIDG-MCIU for proper disposition.
