San Jose City water district hit for cutting off supply

SAN JOSE CITY – The San Jose City Water District was besieged with complaints from irate consumers due to their alleged sudden announcement that they will cut off water supply for a four days due to a broken submersible pump in one of its pumping stations in Bgy. Sto. Niňo here.

On its webpage, the SJCWD said the breakdown of the said pumping station will render two barangays “waterless” for four days starting at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday until 5 p.m. Friday.

The water service interruption affected Barangays Sto. Niňo 1st and Sto. Niňo 2nd and all other parts of the city serviced by the SJCWD.

These areas shall experience “very low pressure to totally no water” and the duration of the service interruption will depend on the availability of pump and motor parts from market suppliers, said Engr. Cecilia M. Francisco, SCJWD general manager.
