FORMER Calauan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez has been diagnosed with tuberculosis, electrolyte imbalance, and end-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD), Bureau of Corrections spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag said yesterday.
Chaclag said Sanchez has Stage five CKD, which means his kidneys have lost nearly all their function, and eventually he needs dialysis or a kidney transplant to continue to live.
“Oo pero nag-deliberate uli mga doctors noong Friday at consensus nila na need ma further test yung patient. At tama nga yung decision nila kasi na confirm na may TB siya and multiple na yung electrolyte imbalance niya and may CKD pa siya na stage 5,” Chaclag said.
