A senior high school student was arrested in Sampaloc, Maynila while in possession of about P1 million worth of shabu.
Manila Police District Director Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay said the student was nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Sampaloc yesteday morning and that the suspect, identified only through his alias as ‘Bullet,’ 18, also of Sampaloc, is now in the custody of the MPD-Station 14.
A report given to Ibay by PMajor Salvador Iñigo of MPD-Station 14 said that the bust was conducted at the corner of Paquita and A. Mendoza Streets in Brgy. 463 Zone 46 in Sampaloc at 6:40 a.m.
A police posed as a buyer and once the sachet of shabu was handed to him, the arrest was made.
When searched, the suspect reportedly yielded more shabu. Two plastics of shabu weighing 150 grams and with a street value of P1,020,000 was found on him.
Charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspect before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
