FOUR persons were injured during a smashup involving seven vehicles at the southbound lane of Rizal Avenue near the corner of Blumentrit Road in Tondo, Manila the other night.
The four individuals comprised of three public utility jeepney (PUJ) passengers and a motorcycle rider, according to a report from the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit -Vehicle Traffic Investigation Section (MDTEU-VTIS).
Chinese national Xian Hong Y Wei, 44, a warehouseman residing at No. 867 Tomas Mapua St., Brgy. 313, Sta Cruz, Manila was said to have been driving the SUV Isuzu Max (plate number NAW 2141) that triggered the incident at 9:30 p.m. the other night.
Motorcycle rider Conrad Morano, 28, was driving his motorcycle when he got hit by Hong. Morano then hit an Isuzu Crosswind being driven by Arnold Tuazon. Morano was brought to the hospital after being injured.
Meanwhile, jeepney driver Alejandro Daga-as was unloading passengers Crisanto de La Cruz, 45; Arzaneth Pagatpatan, 27 and Abegail Dag-ay, 37 when Hong hit the jeep, causing injuries to the said passengers.
Daga-as; jeep then hit a pedicab which in turn hit a van being driven by Joel Malubay.
All those injured were declared out of danger while charges of multiple physical injuries and multiple damage to property have been filed against Hong.
