P1.7m shabu hidden in antique phone seized by BOC

SHABU worth about P1.7 million was confiscated after it was found concealed in an antique French phone.

Customs examiners, drug operatives including members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in DHL warehouse near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) found Monday late afternoon the parcel containing some 255 grams of suspected shabu.

Said drugs were reportedly concealed and declared as antique French phone when it underwent x-ray scanning.

The antique French phone containing shabu was reportedly sent by Bleu Griotte of Lyon, France and consigned to a certain Angeline Claire Nacua of Bel-Air in Makati.

The parcel containing shabu worth P1, 734, 000 was turned over to PDEA for proper disposition and filing of case against the consignee and the sender as well.
