IMUS CITY, Cavite —Eight persons, including a Sangguninag Kabataaan (SK) kagawad of Bgy. Anabu 1-G , were held after they were caught playing poker billiard at 12:30 a.m. on October 15, 2020.
Investigator-on-case (IOC) Police Staff Sergeant (PSSg) John Carlo Punzalan identified the arrested players and bettors as Dennis Viray Bautista, 32, single, jobless; Daniel Miranda Paulme, 20, SK Kagawad, single; Elmer Plantar Pitogo, 27, jobless, single; Venerando Jr. Bacan Casas, 34, married, driver; Benigno Paule Larita Jr,., 31, single, helper; Jeffrey Dela Vega Manaog, 35, single, mechanic; Louie Escalona Larita, 30, single, helper: and Aljon Sarmento Aguilar, 28, subcon, single, all residents of Ampatuan Village, Bgy. Anabu 1G, Imus City, Cavite.
A concerned viilager reported the illegal gambling activity to the authorities.
Confiscated from the suspects were bet money worth P1,250, playing cards and billiard balls. Theh are facing charges for violation of PD 1602 or illegal gambling.
