ONE of two riding-in-tandem snatchers was arrested by the Manila Police District -Remedios Police Community Precinct operatives after victimizing a lady student Wednesday night at the corner of Nakpil St. and Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila.
Now in the custody of the MPD- PS 5 is suspect John Francis Olaguer ,24, member of “Bahala na Gang” and of No. 66 Purok 1, Isla Puting Bato, Brgy. 20 Tondo, Manilaz He was nabbed at around 11:45 p.m Isla Puting Bato.
His accomplice identified as Nelson Arcibal of Purok 3 Isla Puting Bato Brgy. 20 Tondo, is still being hunted down.
The victim was reportedly waiting for a shuttle bus around 6:30 a.m. when she noticed Arcibal acting suspiciously.
She called up her brother and it was then that the suspect took her cellphone and then ran Olaguer who was on a motorcycle. They then sped off.
The victim sought help from the MPD’s Remedios PCP.
A ‘backtracking of the CCTV was made by Patrolmen Antonio Nol Bordeos, Jr., Francis Arhon Felipe and Ralp Aldrin Yamat and they were able to locate Olaguer.
The police recovered the victim’s cellphone as well ad the motorcycle and gun used in the holdup.
A case of Robbery Snatching in relation to R.A 10591 Comprehensive Firearm Laws and Ammunition Regulation Act and BP 881 Omnibus Election Code has been filed against the suspect before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
