A MALE Spanish national facing serious allegations of domestic abuse in a case filed by his common-law partner, was nabbed by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP).

BI-Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) head Rendel Ryan Sy said the arrest was carried out on the afternoon of July 16 in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

FSU operatives, according to Sy, executed a mission order directed against the 58-year-old Spanish national identified as Pablo Escudero Pardo, who was reported for abuse and harassment.

Sy said the arrest stemmed from a complaint from his alleged common-law partner who claimed being mistreated by Pardo.

Additionally, Sy said that based on records, Pardo is an overstaying alien, having failed to apply for an extension after his work visa expired in 2021.

Pardo will be held at the BI’s Warden Facility in Taguig City after standard processing, as he simultaneously faces deportation and the local charges lodged against him.
