THE Philippine Basketball Association (PBA ) Commissioner's Office has slapped a fine of P100,000 on Blackwater and ordered players and coaches of the team to undergo swap testing for violating health protocols.
At the same time, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial will launch a probe into serious allegations made by team owner Dioceldo Sy when he made the announcement to put the franchise up for sale for P150 million.
The Blackwater team was also ordered to go through a seven-day self quarantine if the tests come out negative and they exhibited no symptoms.
The Elite found themselves in trouble after they've been found out to have conducted practice sessions well ahead of the training guidelines that got the by the pro league and the Games and Amusements Board and approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)
Aside from the penalty, Commissioner Willie Marcial ordered all the Blackwater players and coaches to undergo swab testing and go through a seven-day self quarantine if the tests come out negative and they exhibited no symptoms.
