FOUR teams fight for survival as actions in the PBA D-League resume today at the JCSGO Gym.
CD14 Designs-Trinity takes on SMDC-NU in a battle of winless teams at 3 p.m. after the 1 p.m. opening tussle between Batangas-EAC and FamilyMart-Enderun.
Both the White Stallions and the Bulldogs are mired at the bottom of the Foundation Group standings as both are winless in five outings.
One of them though will barge into the win column today.
The Generals and the Titans are also looking to get out of the cellar in the Aspirants’ Group.
Things have not been easy for CD14 Designs-TUA and SMDC-NU this season, ranking among the bottom in scoring, with the White Stallions averaging 68.4 points per contest and the Bulldogs showing 72.4 points norm per game.
No wonder, both teams couldn’t seem to get going in the tournament, but one of them will at least heave a sigh of relief today.
CD14 Designs-TUA seeks to rebound from a sound 69-93 defeat at the hands of unbeaten Centro Escolar University two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Dave Ildefonso’s 30-point output once again went for naught as SMDC-NU fell to Metropac-SBU, 86-94 last week.
The 119-122 double overtime loss to AMA Online Education before the Holy Week hurt the Generals playoff bid.
Still, Batangas-EAC (1-5) remains confident , more so with veterans Earvin Mendoza and Cedric de Joya showing the youthful crew how to get things done with their heads-up plays.
FamilyMart-Enderun, on the other hand, suffered a late-game meltdown in a 73-68 loss to McDavid two weeks ago and remained winless in five starts.
