SAN MIGUEL Alab Pilipinas extended its perfect run to three games by outgunning  the Formosa Dreamers, 86-72, in the ASEAN Basketball League late Friday at the Sta. Rosa Multi Purpose Complex in Laguna.

The defending champions unloaded a game-changing 21-3 run in the last six and a half minutes that broke the backs of the Dreamers.

Renaldo Balkman had a double-double effort of 19 points and 20 rebounds, PJ Ramos added 16 points and seven boards, while PBA-bound Bobby Ray Parks chipped in 13 points for Alab.

San Miguel Alab also got significant contributions from its bench, as Pao Javelona came through with 11 points, including two triples, to go along with three assists in 16 minutes of action, while Lo Domingo, Josh Urbiztondo, and Brandon Rosser combined for 17 points.

Trailing by four points, 65-69, Alab was relentless in attacking the basket while displaying unforgiving defense on the other end midway in the payoff period.

A basket by Ethan Alvano kickstarted San Miguel Alab's decisive scoring run and never looked back from there.

Malcolm Miller led Formosa with 23 points but was only 7-for-22 from the field, while Will Artino and Tevin Glass each scored 14 points.

Alab will shoot for its fourth consecutive win against the Singapore Slingers at 8 p.m. tonight at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, the  ninth season of the  PBA D-League is said to be biggest in history  with a roster of more than  20 teams.
