Tams make it

CHA DAO-FEU booked the last Foundation Group ticket to the PBA D-League playoffs with a 74-69 conquest of Centro Escolar University yesterday at the JCSGO Gym.

“Our goal is to make it to the playoffs and nakuha na namin ang first goal namin,” said Tamaraws coach Olsen Racela.

Cha Dao-FEU’s UAAP rival Ironcon-University of Santo Tomas was not as fortunate as it crashed out of the Aspirants’ Group playoff chase with a 74-81 loss to already-eliminated FamilyMart-Enderun, giving Che’Lu Bar and Grill a free ride to the next round.

The Tigers are tipped to win over the Titans but couldn’t get the job done, allowing the idle Revellers to celebrate their entry to the next round.

Ironcon-UST ended up in a massive five-way tie in second in the Aspirants’ Group at 6-3 along with St. Clare College Virtual Reality, Go for Gold-CSB and Petron-Letran, but the Tigers and Knights were eliminated by virtue of inferior quotient.

The Tigers’ defeat allowed the Saints to clinch the No. 2 ranking, which comes with a twice-to-beat advantage.
