Westminster High School downs Tiong Se

WESTMINSTER High School crushed Tiong Se, 95-43, and Philippine Cultural College humbled  Chiang Kai Shek College, 84-77, in a pair of 50 years old and aboce action in the Tanduay Athletics-Metro Manila Tiong Lian alumni basketball tournament at the Tanduay gym last Wednesday.

Joelito Lim scattered 18 points – all from the rainbow territory — to power Westminster to  a rousing victory over Tiong Se.

John Bun Tiong Sy added 15 points and nine assists and Arthur Te contributed 12 points and seven rebounds for Wesminster, which led from start to finish.

Jonathan Lim had nine points and five rebounds to lead Tiong Se’s losing  effort.

Earlier, PCC rode on  Dan Lim’s double-double effort of 31 points and 10 rebounds and Richard Dee’s 25 points to roll back Chiang Kai Shek College in a closely-fought encounter.

The tournament is organized by MMTL president Christian Tan with Johny Tam as operations director.
