GRANDMASTER Rogelio Antonio, Jr. added another feather to his cap by ruling the first Baby Uno Chess Challenge online blitz tournament at lichess.
Antonio, one of the country's most-experienced players, finished in a two-way tie for first place with United States-based GM Mark Paragua with identical scores of 13.5 points in the event organized by the Bayanihan Chess Club.
The 58-year-old pride of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, however, clinched the title by virtue of higher tiebreak score.
"Thank God for another chanpionship," said Antonio, a 13-time Philippine national champion.
Paragua settled for runner-up honor.
Little-known Doodeel "Dudz" Libongcogon of Batangas wound up a fighting third with 13 points.
Eli Budoso came in fourth overall, followed by Mark Oliver Ingcad in fifth.
Completing the Top 10 finishers were Eduard Sumergido (6th), Richie Jocson (7th), Marlon Bernardino (8th), Noel Jay "Super B'" Estacio (9th) and former PECA president Dr. Jenny Mayor (10th).
In 11th to 15th places were Francis Talaboc (11th), NM Robert Arellano (12th), Janmyl Tisado (13th), Genghis Imperial (14th) and Arjie Bayangat (15th).
Category winners were Bernardino (top media), Oshrie Jhames Reyes (top Pampanga olayer), WNM Francois Marie Magpily (top female ) and Kaye Lalaine Regidor (top kiddies 11 years old and below).
The tournament was supported by Europe- based gaming consultant Kim Zafra and Jimmy Reyes of Saudi Arabia based Jimmy Reyes, Danilo Ebao and Pretty Zada Skincare Product.
