THE Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) welcomes the month of November with interesting discussions on karate, horseracing and wheelchair basketball in the 19th “Usapang Sports on Air” via Zoom on Thursday.
Fil-Am karate champion Joane Orbon and Karate Pilipinas and Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) president Richard Lim will banner the guests in the 10 a.m. public service program.
Orbon will talk about her plans and preparations for the Tokyo Olympics qualifying events, as well as the Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam and several other major international competitions next year.
Joining them are Philippine Racing Club, Inc. (PRCI) racing manager Antonio B. Alcasid Jr. and Philippine Wheelchair basketball head coach Vernon Perea.
Alcasid, a multi-awarded jockey himself, will talk about the various issues with the return of horseracing, while Perea will discuss the plans to promote wheelchair basketball in the country under the new normal.
TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members and friends in the sports community to attend the weekly forum sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Games and Amusements Board (GAB).
