IN this extraordinary time, the UAAP cares.
Instead of holding a virtual Christmas Party, the UAAP Board of Managing Directors recently turned over P200,000 worth of goods to 390 families in Payatas and Bagong Silangan in Quezon City and Montalban in Rizal.
The league conducted an outreach activity, giving away food packs and essentials to those who were affected by Typhoon “Ulysses”, as well as persons with disability.
The activity was an initiative of the UAAP led by Board of Managing Directors president Nong Calanog of host La Salle and vice president Fr. Aldrin Suan of Adamson.
Adamson’s student-athletes helped in repacking the care packages in their school gym, as well as in the distribution to the beneficiaries together with UAAP executive director Rebo Saguisag and the league’s staff.
The UAAP last week scrapped the Season 83 tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Publication Source : People's Tonight
