IT'S women power in the 6th “Usapang Sports” by the Tabloid Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) with Commissioner Celia Kiram of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) leading the guests on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the National Press Club in Intramuros, Manila.
Joining Kiram in the 10 a.m. sports session supported by the National Press Club are Cynthia Carrion of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) and Mardel Claro and Preciosa Delarmino of the Muay Association of the Philippines (MAP).
Kiram, the highest female sports official in the government sports agency, will talk about her various activities aimed at promoting women and youth in sports.
Among these activities are the coming Philippine National Games and the Batang Pinoy, which are expected to produce more outstanding women and youth in sports.
Carrion will discuss the success of the gymnastics association last year, as well as her line-up of activities for the new year.
Claro and Delarmino will represent Muay head Pearl Managuelod, who is currently working on her Masteral course in Canada.
Claro is the country's first international muay technical official, while Delarmino is the national team coach.
TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is requesting all members and officials to participate in the forum.
TOPS is composed of sports editors, writers and photographers from the country's leading tabloids.
