UNIVERSITY of Perpetual Help System Dalta tries to get back on the winning track against Emilio Aguinaldo College, while Letran seeks to keep its slim Final Four hopes alive as it takes on ousted Jose Rizal University today in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament.

A win over the also-ran Lady Generals in the 12 noon match will push the Lady Altas on the brink of securing their third consecutive Final Four stint.

Still in contention and are toting a 3-3 slate are the Lady Knights who are hard-pressed to sweep their remaining matches starting with the 2 p.m. duel with the Lady Bombers and get the needed breaks along the way to make it past the eliminations.

Perpetual’s march to the semis hit a snag after dropping a 20-25, 19-25, 16-25 decision to San Beda last Friday.

The Lady Altas are currently tied with the Lady Red Spikers in third place at 5-2.

College of Saint Benilde has already claimed a spot in the semifinals with a perfect 7-0 card, while defending champion Arellano University is almost there at 6-1.

EAC is simply not contented by its 21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 15-8 win over San Sebastian that ended a 16-match losing streak last Thursday, as coach Rod Palmero’s side wanted to end the season strong.

Letran is seeking to catch up San Beda and Perpetual in the race for the last semis berth.

The Lady Knights suffered a 14-25, 28-26, 19-25, 16-25 defeat from the hands of the Lady Chiefs last Tuesday.

Missing the semifinals for the second straight year, the Lady Bombers (3-5) are simply aiming to end their campaign on a high note and play the role of spoilers to the hilt.
