Chris Ann Susbilla and Dea Villamor of the Junior Warriors topped Adamson’s Mary Grace Borromeo and Ayesha Juegos, 21-9, 21-14, in the other match for the day.
Nazareth School of National University drew an opening day bye and will see action today with games against FEU and Adamson.
In the boys’ division, the Baby Tamaraws’ Jelord Talisayan and Carl Cabatac earned the distinction as the first-ever high school beach volleyball winners.

Ateneo swept its two opening day matches as Giulian San Juan and Mikka Mendoza beat UP Integrated School’s Brett Borja and Miguel Castro, 21-13, 21-14, and La Salle-Zobel’s Andre Espejo and John Lituania, 21-19, 11-21, 15-8.
Adamson’s Jefferson Marafol and Evander Novillo edged NSNU’s Pijo and Reymart Reyes, who replaced Berdin midway in the game, 21-18, 19-21, 15-11, to enter the win column.
High school beach volleyball has been introduced by the league as a demonstration sport this season.
