Stay out of ABS-CBN issue, solon told

SEVERAL groups supporting the renewal of ABS-CBN congressional franchise have scored lawmakers who are trying to ride on the issue and earn personal political points.

In particular, the groups scored Ang Probinsyano party-list Cong. Alfred delos Santos.

To recall, Delos Santos earned the moniker “Boy Sapak” and the public’s ire after a viral video surfaced July last year during which he was seen hitting a waiter inside the Bigg’s Diner in Legazpi City for no apparent reason.

Delos Santos had just taken his seat in Congress when the incident happened.

In the viral video, the victim, Christian Kent Alejo, 20, was seen preparing the table of the suspect and his companions when he suddenly berated him before throwing a punch at the hapless waiter.

People for Empowerment and Truth (PET).

Instead, Sandoval’s group called on the leadership of Ang Probinsyano party-list to make public the result of its investigation relative to the Bigg’s Diner incident.

The statement was issued by Sandoval in reaction to delos Santos’s recent reaction about the proposed renewal of ABS-CBN franchise.
