STL bet collector killed in Gapan road mishap

GAPAN CITY — A bet collector or kubrador of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) died after his motorcycle accidentally collided with a jeepney here on Monday night.

Police head Lt. Col. Criselda De Guzman identified the fatality as Jun Ondrade, 37, of Purok 5, Bgy. Mangino.

Police said the victim, who was allegedly under the influence of liquor, was driving a Yamaha MIO motorcycle when the accident occurred in Bgy. San Vicente at 8:30 p.m.

Investigation showed Ondrade’s vehicle collided with a jeepney driven by Romeo Guisano Jr., 44, of Purok 6, Bgy. Palayan, Nagcarlan, Laguna when the victim’s motorcycle hit a hole along the highway, causing it to accidentally swerve to the opposite lane and collide with the jeepney.

De Guzman said the victim was declared dead-on-arrival at the Good Samaritan Hospital here by the attending physician.

Charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide have been filed against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office.
