Cagayan de Oro City – The City Health Insurance Office (CHIO), led by Ms. Roxanne Mae Absin-Ravidas, in collaboration with the PhilHealth LHIO-CDO under the leadership of Mr. Marlon Niño S. Arrabaca, and PhilHealth 10 Chief Field Operations Head, Ms. Maria Rhodella S. Monsanto, successfully conducted an Onsite Mass Registration and Enrollment, KonSulTa Registration, and First Patient Encounter for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory.
This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that Persons Deprived of Liberty have access to essential health services, contributing to a more inclusive healthcare system. The event was made possible through the partnership of various stakeholders, including the JR Borja General Hospital, the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office, the CHO, and the personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

The event successfully registered 148 PDL, who received their PhilHealth ID cards, while 164 PDL took advantage of medical consultations, and 56 PDL benefited from dental services. The event was carried out under the guidance of JSUPT MARLON J YMBALLA, DSC, City Jail Warden of Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory.
This activity serves as a testament to our collective efforts to promote healthcare equity and ensure that no one is left behind, especially the marginalized sectors of society.
