HOUSE Speaker Lord Allan Velasco yesterday met the heads of different political parties in the House of Representatives.

Based on a photo shared by Deputy Speaker and 1PACMAN Rep. Mikee Romero, Velasco is confident of full support from the various political leaders amid a report of a coup plot against his leadership.

According to Romero, there are 270 lawmakers who have joined the supermajority while the 22 members of the Minority bloc and three independent solons are also in support of Velasco’s leadership.

Velasco met the leaders of PDP-Laban, Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), Nacionalista Party (NP), National Unity Party (NUP) and Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc (PCFI).

“The party heads committed to unite and pass President Duterte’s legislative agenda,” Romero, who is now the Deputy Speaker for Political Affairs, said.

During the meeting, the House leaders agreed to prioritize the legislative agenda of President Duterte including the response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

They also want the 2021 national budet bicam report to be passed on time to avoid a reenacted budget.
