TAGUIG City Mayor Lino Cayetano wants to ensure that the city government will have proper storage facility intended for the incoming supply of COVID-19 vaccines to retain their efficacy, effectiveness and safety.

Mayor Lino together with Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano and the City Health Office (CHO made an on-site visit on Friday afternoon to the country’s first ever world class, fully automated cold storage facility by ORCA Cold Chain Solution.

The 6,500-square-meter facility located in Bgy. Bagumbayan will be utilized as cold storage for arriving vaccines, and can handle whether a certain vaccine requires -70 degrees or any other chilling temperature.

The facility will suit the vaccines’ needs. It allows for real-time monitoring using IT software and digital technology and also has a 22,000 MT static storage capacity and the capacity to move 876000 MT on an annual basis,” Mayor Lino said.
