Tanauan holds photo exhibit on Taal Volcano eruption

TANAUAN City, Batangas — A year after the eruption of Taal Volcano, the Tanauan City government led by Mayor Mary Angeline Halili commemorated the tragedy that tested the resilience of every Tanaueño by launching a photo exhibit on January 12, 2021, at the main entrance lobby of the new Tanauan City Hall.

Through the Community Affairs Office (CAO) under the supervision of Edison Jallores Jr., the exhibit with the theme “Volcano Taal: Explosion, Sympathy and Rise for the New Future” was carried out.

Pictures included the volcanic eruption and the steps taken by the local government in helping the affected residents at the time of the eruption as well as the recovery of the Tanaueños from the catastrophe.

News and documentaries on the catastophe were also released.

The “photo exhibit” will be held until the end of January.
