A taxi driver narrowly escaped death when the container truck he was tailing hit a footbridge at dawn the other day along Abad Santos Tondo, Manila.
The accident caused the container on the truck to snap from the truck, slide backward and land on top of the taxi that was behind it.
Fortunately, the cab driver was unhurt and no one was reported injured.
The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU), said that at around 1 a.m., the said truck carrying a container was cruising along the area when the container hit the foot bridge.
The truck driver and the cab driver reportedly agreed to settle the matter amicably.
