AN 18-year-old painter is now in jail following his arrest in Tondo, Manila, pursuant to a warrant issued against him by a court where he faces a case of rape.
Nabbed at around 5:45 p.m.on Tuesday was Rey Mark Cortez, of No. 316 Zaragosa St.,Tondo. He was arrested on Claro M. Recto Avenue near Delpan Street in front of a convenience store.
P/ Lt. Col. Magno Gallora, Jr., Station Commander of the Manila Police District- Station 2, dispatched P/ Capt.Joselito Baun Delos Reyes to lead the arrest and the service of the warrant issued by Judge Mariesther Vedaña of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 48.
It was learned that Cortez is third on the list of ‘most wanted’ in Tondo. He is facing charges for rape and violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009. No bail had been recommended for his provisional liberty.
