Manila Police District -Station 13 operatives nabbed three male Grade 12 students after they were accused by their schoolmate, a Grade 11 girl, of gang rape in Baseco, Port , Manila.
MPD-PS 13 station commander P/Lt. Colonel Emmanuel Gomez said the 16-year-old complainant positively identified the suspects as John Mark, 19; Mark, 18 and John Emil, 18, who all happen to be her schoolmates and friends.
The incident reportedly took place on April 7 right inside the home of one of the suspects.
Prior to it, the victim said she received a ‘chat’ from one of the suspects who happened to be her Facebook friend and invited her to go to his house for a drinking session at 11 p.m.
Once the drinking spree was done at around 2 a.m., the victim fell asleep due to intoxication. At around 2 a.m. however, the victim she was awakened as one of the suspects began kissing her while her hands were held down by another.
The suspects then alternately raped her and when they fell asleep, she escaped and went straight to a friend’s house where her mother picked her up.
Upon hearing what had happened, the mother accompanied the victim to the police to lodge a formal complaint.
Police nabbed the suspects during a follow-up operation and they are currently detained at the MPD-PS13 pending the filing of charges against them.
