OPERATIVES from the Bureau of Immigration-intelligence division (BI) operatives arrested three Korean nationals found to be working illegally in a private resort in Cavite.
It was learned that the BI intelligence division under its Chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr. nabbed the three last May 22 in resort inside a subdivision in General Trias, Cavite.
They were identified by Manahan as Oh Hyunsik, 51; Kim Haeyoung, 48; and Kim Seoyeong, 45.
Manahan said the arrest was made in coordination with the Philippine Navy and the Philippine National Police after the BI received information about the presence of an illegal alien in the area.
Citing BI records, Manahan said it was confirmed that they have indeed been working without the proper permits and visas, in violation of Philippine immigration laws.
Close coordination with partners in law enforcement resulted in the swift and effective apprehension of illegal aliens, said Manahan.
Meantime, he said all three will remain in the BI’s facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig pending deportation proceedings that will be initiated against them.
