Teresa Aquino, tasked to oversee DENR’s forest rehabilitation programs hug trees to convey their gratitude for the air these provide during the launch of the “Tree Hugging Campaign” held at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City on February 14, 2022. The FMB organized the weeklong event, which runs from February 14 to 18, to raise public knowledge on the social and health benefits of trees and the crucial role forests play in addressing climate change challenges. The ten best photos of “tree huggers” with a caption, and uploaded in the FMB Facebook page will be chosen as winners of the Tree Hugging Campaign online challenge.
