TOPS: Batang Pier’s chances to be discussed

WHAT are the chances of NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA restart next month?

PBA legend and coach Pido Jarencio and team manager Bonnie Tan will take time to answer in the 12th “Usapang Sports on Air” by the Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) via Zoom this Thursday.

With Robert Bolick, Jonathan Grey, and Bradwyn Guinto back, the Batang Pier are hoping to parade a complete line-up once the league resumes its 45th season.

Tan is also expected to talk about the newest additions for Letran, which is looking to make it two in a row in the NCAA next year.

Also appearing in the 10 a.m. session are Southeast Asian Games wushu champion Agatha Wong, Milo Sports executive Luigi Pumaren, BEST Center vice-president Monica Jorge and Milo Ambassador Kiefer Ravena and Blood Runner Multi Sport founders Joel and Josephine Sabile.

The 21-year-old Wong captured two gold medals in the wushu competitions in the SEA Games in Manila last December.

She ruled both the the women’s taijijian and taijiquan events at the World Trade Center.

TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members and friends in the sports community to attend the weekly public service program sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Veteran sportscaster Ernest Leo Hernandez is the moderator.
