EXACTLY 10 months after quarantine measures were imposed across the country, labor group, Defend Jobs Philippines Friday launched the “Trabahotline” campaign to monitor the Philippine employment status amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The campaign encourages local and foreign-based Filipino workers to report issues of termination, retrenchment, floating status, aid issues and other work-related concerns being affected by the pandemic.
“The alarming state of jobs, livelihood, security of tenure, unemployment and other labor-related issues in the country have worsened due to the absence of concrete and comprehensive employment program and massive jobs creation scheme of the government for Filipino workers here and abroad,” said Christian Lloyd Magsoy, Defend Jobs Philippines spokesperson.
Workers may call the “Trabahotline” numbers 02-8564889, 09956621069 or 09685436243 daily from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or report their complaints via email (email@example.com) or through social media on the group’s official Facebook page (Defend Jobs Philippines) and Twitter account (@defendjobsPH).
The group assured complainants that their identity and their issues will be strictly confidential in order to protect their privacy.
Magsoy said they are willing to assist workers to resolve their issues on whatever possible way they can and through bridging the complainants to proper and respective concerned government agencies.Publication Source : People's Tonight
