A Chinoy landed in jail after pouring hot coffee on a Manila policeman who handed him the said coffee in an effort to pacify him, after he was nabbed for creating a scene in a billiard hall in Sampaloc, Manila while under the influence of liquor.
A report from the Manila Police District -Police Station 4 said that suspect ,Ralph Sy, 57, an engineer, of Brgy. Pembo, Makati City, got out of the Lakay Bar and Billiards on Paredes St., Brgy. 462, at around 4 a.m., near the UBA Police Community Precinct located on P. Noval St. Sampaloc, Manila.
Mario Reyes, a Barangay Kagawad, said that when the suspect saw him he began to go berserk and hurled invectives at him, so that he sought assistance from the UBA-PCP.
When the cops arrived, the suspect was taken to the UBA-PCP where PSSg Mark Anthony Alata gave him coffee in order to pacify him.
However, once the cop turned his back, the suspect poured the coffee on him, so that the suspect was arrested and detained.
Charges of alarm and scandal and direct assault were filed against the suspect.
