THOUSANDS of graduating students from the city-run universities were gifted by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yul Servo.
The student-recipients were graduates from the Universidad de Manila (UdM) and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
It was learned that each graduating student received P2,000 as graduation gift.
Lacuna said the beneficiaries from the UDM numbered 1,817 while those from the PLM reached 3,772 in total.
During the Ceremonial Graduation Cash Gift distribution for the graduates of UDM where she was joined by UdM President Dr. Felma Carlos-Tria, the mayor called on the students to make their parents proud by exceling in whatever career path they would choose.
The lady mayor congratulated all the graduates and wished them the best of luck as they continue their journey in life.
Meanwhile, Lacuna invited the public to join the anticipated dawn masses being held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan daily.
Fr. Rufino Sescon Jr., the new Bishop of Balanga, Bataan, celebrated the first mass held on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The traditional Simbang Gabi in Manila is being conducted in coordination with the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno and San Vicente De Paul Parish, everyday up to December 23, 2024 at 7 p.m.
