STAMPS marking the 80th year of the Philippines’ membership in the United Nations (UN) and celebrating the country’s enduring commitment to multilateral cooperation, peace and development, was launched by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The launch of the UN80 Commemorative Stamps was held at the historic Old Senate Hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila under the theme “The Philippines’ 80 Years in the United Nations: A Journey of Hope & Endeavor.

The commemorative issue highlights the Philippines’ contributions and continued engagement in the UN system since becoming one of the founding signatories of the UN Charter on June 26, 1945 and the event featured DFA Assistant Secretary Maria Teresa Almojuela, who underscored the role of stamps as symbolic representations of national identity and international commitment.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo delivered the keynote address, reflecting on the Philippines’ legacy and evolving role in the United Nations over the past eight decades while UN Resident Coordinator Arnaud Peral shared a message reaffirming the UN’s strong and continuing partnership with the Philippines.

Postmaster General and CEO Luis Carlos said, “The unveiling of the UN80 stamps is a powerful reminder that the smallest objects can hold the largest meanings. These symbols represent decades of cooperation, advocacy and a shared commitment to peace, development and global solidarity.”

The artistic narrative behind the commemorative design was shared by Marthy Angue, the designer and artist of the UN80 stamp set, who presented the concept as a visual journey of cooperation and shared aspirations. The program concluded with the formal unveiling and ceremonial turnover of the commemorative stamps.

The UN80 Commemorative Stamps officially released on June 26, 2025, will be available in selected post offices nationwide. The stamp set includes a setenant design priced at P16 and an Official First Day Cover at P18.
