US fugitive falls in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 3 and Bureau of Immigration personnel arrested a fugitive American national in Barangay San Juan, Moncada, Tarlac last Tuesday.

Col. Amante Daro, CIDG-3 officer, identified the foreigner as John Dalton Daclan, 40, a businessman.

Together with BI and ISAFP operatives, the CIDG-3 agents proceeded to the said place and served Mission Order No. JHM-2021-019 dated 10 Feb. 2021.

Daro said that the American is a fugitive from justice as per official communication from Attaché Michelle Michaud of the US Embassy in indicating that the suspect has three outstanding Warrants of Arrest issued by the Orange County Superior Court in California, USA on 21 Jun 2010 “for unauthorized use of identification, grand theft, forgery, burglary, display of false identification, fraud, battery and receiving stolen property in violation of the California Penal Code”.

It was also learned that the American fugitive “is an overstaying and undocumented alien and poses risk to public safety and security.

Subject arrested person is now under the custody of BI FSU Manila for documentation and appropriate disposition.
