“Various Sectors Call for Peace and Unity to Support the New Administration”

TARLAC CITY – Various sectors from the province of Tarlac call for unity to support the new administration through a Peace Rally held in Plazuela, Tarlac City yesterday, June 30, 2022.

The gathering bears the theme “Pagkakaisa pasa sa Bagong Simula Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” and was attended by around 300 hundred individuals coming from the OFW Family Circle Federation of Tarlac groups, Bigkis Task Force, Phoenix Riders Philippines Inc., Macondray Riders Group Tarlac City Chapter, Guardian Independent of the Philippines Inc., FS Raap, Solid Guardian Inc., Osias College Students, religious leaders, youth, former rebels and members of the Malayang Magbubukid sa Asyenda Luisita (MALAYA) formerly known as the AMBALA a peasant organization is known to be active in supporting the Communists Terrorists Groups before.

The event aims to show support for the new administration and its desire for peace and development in the country.

Tarlac City Peace Rally

Peace-loving citizens began the activity with a Motorcade for Peace in the streets of Tarlac, which ended in the City Plazuela where an influx of peace advocates gathered together to join the Call for Unity and the Call for Peace.

Former members of the communist terrorist group shared their support and commitment to working with the new administration specifically in ending the local communists’ armed conflict. They said the previous administration’s support and assistance were sincerely demonstrated by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) which the new administration will continue to aim to end the country’s long-time insurgency problem.

In ending the peace advocates formed the human symbol of peace and simultaneously lighted candles that symbolize the new light carried by the new President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.
