Vax confidence up in CCMC

THE confidence of medical staff from Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) in the inoculation program against COVID-19 has improved to 86%.

This was announced by CCMC Administrator Dr. Fernando Santos to Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan after 395 health workers out of their 457 medical staff agreed to take the CoronaVac vaccine on Monday.

Last Friday, 105 out of 149 health workers who have agreed to take the shot of Sinovac vaccine were inoculated. They were led by Santos and City Health Officer Dra. Evelyn Cuevas who both played the crucial role in increasing vaccine confidence.

Dr. Santos said nobody experienced adverse effects after receiving Sinovac vaccine.

Nalulugod tayo sapagkat nadagdagan ang bilang ng mga nais magpabakuna sa CCMC. Inaasahan natin na lahat ay magpapabakuna na ngayong nakita nila na ligtas ang bakuna,” Mayor Oca said.

The city government of Caloocan on Monday also hoped that additional doses of Sinovac vaccine from the Department of Health will arrive after they received an initial 300 doses last Thursday.
