Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo reiterated his full support for incumbent third district Congressman Joel Chua in the latter’s bid for reelection.

During a recent ‘Ugnayan’ of the local ruling party Asenso Manileño, Servo even raised Chua’s hand in a display of overt endorsement of Chua as their official candidate for third district Congressman.

Servo’s formal endorsement is expected to put to rest intrigues when he attended a bingo event in Manila’s third district which was sponsored by a barangay official supporting another candidate.

In the said event, Servo said his presence was merely to oblige to the invitation and call for support for his partylist, as he also promoted his partner, Manila mayor Honey Lacuna and even sang their jingle.

According to Servo, Lacuna happens to be his idol and inspiration when it comes to public service and his loyalty to the lady mayor, Chua and their party will always remain.

For his part, Chua said he never doubted Servo’s loyalty to the party as he called on the vice mayor’s critics to stop sowing intrigues.

Chua is one of the five incumbent Congressmen who have stayed by the side of the Lacuna-Servo tandem, believing that they can best lead the city at least in the next three years. There are only six Congressmen in Manila.

The other five are Congressman Rolan Valeriano (2nd district); Edward Maceda (4th district), Irwin Tieng (5th district) and Benny Abante (6th district).

A good majority of the current Manila City Councilors are also in the ticket of Lacuna and Servo.
