Wellness Clinic in Pandacan Isko, Honey’s gift to Manilans

MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno announced that a newly-built ‘Wellness Clinic’ was opened by the city government in Pandacan, Manila.

Moreno said that the new clinic being run by the Manila Health Department (MHD) offers free of charge a variety of health and medical services for Manilans, specially for those residing in the sixth district.

The clinic being operated by MHD personnel under its head, Dr. Poks Pangan, offers the following services: risk assessment (blood pressure , blood sugar FBS / RBS, blood cholesterol and haemoglobin); diabetic foot screening; bone scan; .UTZ for benign prostatic hyperplasia; screening for hypertension and diabetes and visual acuity / cataract screening.

The mayor said the Wellness Clinic also offers Zumba and other physical activities.

He said the new clinic is his and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna’s gift to the people of Manila, as he reminded those who wish to avail of the said free services that wearing of face masks and face shields remains mandatory when going to the said clinic.

Moreno lauded Pangan and his team for their dedication to duty, citing that the ongoing vaccination against measles and rubella continued even during holidays and weekends.

The mayor said that he and Lacuna are personally seeing to it that the vaccination of children will be totally over at the soonest time possible in preparation for the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines.
