When flying CEB, know these

EFFECTIVE August 15, Cebu Pacific said it will be requiring its passengers to wear face shields during the entire flight. This is in line with directives from the Philippine government and on top of the mandatory use of face masks upon entering the airport terminal until arrival at the destination.

Alongside these, an assurance was made by CEB spokesperson Ma. Rosario Lagamon that their airline company continues to implement enhanced bio-security preventive measures to keep their passengers and personnel safe. These safety measures include daily extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols for all aircraft and facilities, rapid antibody testing for all frontliners and crew and contactless flight procedures.

Lagamon said these are based on global best practices, and adhere to the highest safety standards.

All Cebu Pacific and Cebgo flights to and from Manila are cancelled until August 18, 2020 and this is due to the imposition of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) over Metro Manila and adjacent provinces and the continued community quarantine over the rest of the country.

The Cebu-Clark-Cebu and Cebu-Davao-Cebu flights will continue to operate every Tuesday, along with several international flights.

And since local authorities may have specific requirements and regulations, depending on the destination, guests are strongly urged to check with the concerned LGU first and select destinations that are closest to their residences. Flights between Manila and Taipei, along with some other Cebu Pacific international flights, are also cancelled until further notice.

Lagamon reminds passengers of the need to know the requirements for international travel as those without any of these requirements may be denied check-in or boarding.

Travel regulations issued by the governments of the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea will be implemented as necessary and applicable.

In the case for instance of Manila-Dubai flights, before departure, one has to have a negative result on their PCR test report (validity: 96 hours).

Travel and health insurance coverage valid in the UAE, as required by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and fill-up a Health Declaration Form.

Upon arrival in Manila, one has got to have a COVID-19 RT-PCR test, follow mandatory quarantine procedures in approved facilities while awaiting test results and pre-register prior to departure from Dubai to expedite airport procedures. To save time, passengers are encouraged to pre-register and fill out the Electronic-Case Investigation Form (ECIF) online at https://e-cif.redcross.org.ph/ For Manila-Seoul (Incheon) flights, before departure, one has to have a negative result on their PCR test report from a duly recognized testing center (validity: 48 hours). Upon arrival in Seoul on the other hand, there is a mandatory 14-day quarantine at a designated government facility at expense of the traveler (Cost: KRW 1,400,000).

Upon arrival in Manila if you are coming from Japan (Tokyo, Osaka) Taipei and Singapore, you will be required to undergo a COVID-19 RT-PCR test and mandatory quarantine procedures in approved facilities while awaiting test results.

Passengers are urged to manage their bookings online via our website, bit.ly/CEBmanageflight. Those on cancelled flights may choose to place the full cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund valid for two years; full refund; or opt to rebook to any other travel date within three months, free of charge. If travel is after three months, change fees are still waived, but minimal fare difference may apply.

Since the situation is a developing one, CEB said it may adjust flights depending on government regulations. Passengers will be contacted through the email addresses and mobile numbers provided upon booking for any information regarding their flights and updates will be provided through its website and official social media accounts.

Before going to the airport, CEB passengers should check for real-time Flight Status on its website https://bit.ly/CEBFlightStatusCheck.

Do not go to the airport unless you have verified and confirmed your flight schedule. Entiendes??
