Woman hit by ex-partner with lead pipe, critical

A WOMAN was critically wounded after she was reportedly hit by her former live-in partner with a lead pipe.

PLTCOL Ritchie Claravall, station commander of Masambong Police Station, identified the suspect as Davineto Montessa, 58, of Plaridel, Bulacan.

Montesa is facing charges for frustrated homicide based on the complaint of his former live in partner.

Marie (not her real name) is in critical condition at a hospital in Quezon City.

Investigation conducted by PSSG Sherly Montaño, of the Masambong Police Station, showed the incident occurred on October 27, 2020 at about 6:10 a.m. at the victim’s residence in Bgy. Santa Cruz, Quezon City.

The suspect and the victim had a heated argument regarding the custody of their eight-year-old child.

At the height of their confrontation, the suspect reportedly whacked the victim in different parts of the body with a lead pipe.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Masambong Police Station led by PSMS Michael Medina.
