A 22-YEAR-OLD woman, who earlier failed to kill herself during her first suicide attempt, was found dead hanging with a curtain looped around her neck inside their rented apartment on Wednesday in Nueva Ecija.
City police head Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said the suicide victim was an online seller and resident of San Jose City.
A friend identified as Mark, whom the victim earlier asked to run an errand for her, found her lifeless body hanging with a curtain around her neck and tied to the steel truss railings of their rented apartment at 5 p.m.
Corporal Mark Lester Dela Cruz, case investigator said it was the second attempt on her life by the victim. He said the woman tried once to commit suicide by hanging using shoelaces but was unsuccessful.
“Inutusan niya si Mark na makipag-meet-up sa buyer ng cellphone dahil on-line seller nga po ang biktima, ayun pagdating ni Mark sa apartment nila, naabutan niya itong nakabigti na,” said Dela Cruz.
A close friend of the victim told police that during their drinking sprees, Abigael would always say she wanted to commit suicide due to personal problems with her husband, who had been separated from her for already a month and with whom she has two kids under his care.
Dela Cruz said the victim’s family executed a statement stating they fully believed that the victim’s death was caused by suicide and that no other one was responsible for her death.
