Woman nabbed for try to steal DOTr usec’s laptop

ANGELES CITY – An undersecretary of the Department of Transportation was victimized by a thief in his residence at Fiona’s Townhouse in Clarkview, Barangay Malabanias here last October 12.

Maj. Aris Gonzales, Police Station 4 commander, identified the victim as Usec. Artemio Tuazon Jr., who almost lost his laptop to an armed female thief if not for the vigilance of security guard Garjun Guay.

Gonzales said the security guard was patrolling the area when he chanced upon a woman carrying a black laptop.

When accosted her, the woman pulled out a knife and pointed it at the security guard.

The woman allegedly tried to stab the security guard. However, a scuffle ensued until the security guard managed to get the knife from the suspect later identified as Issah Marie Reeves, 39, resident of Bago Bantay, Quezon City.

Police were called in and they arrested the suspect. They also informed Tuazon about the incident who rushed back to his residence and confirmed that the laptop belongs to him.

The female suspect is facing charges for theft and attempted homicide before the City prosecutor’s Office here.

Meanwhile, two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust in Bgy. Balibago here last Thursday night.

Gonzales identified the suspects as ries Gebson Lapore, 20, a high value target, and Rolando Alquiro, 19. Their companions identified as Angelo Agullo and a certain Vladimir escaped.

Confiscated during the operation were two bricks of dried marijuana and two small plastic sachets of marijuana with combined weight of one kilogram value at P120,000.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of republic Act 9165.
